DevBuddy (“we”, “us”) is operated by Cristea Lelia, Bacău, Romania. This policy explains what we handle and why. Questions? besitmam9@gmail.com.
DevBuddy is a browser extension and website that helps you find where to click on web dashboards. When you ask it a question, it takes a screenshot of your current page and reads the page’s clickable elements, then uses an AI model to point you to the right control.
1. Screen content (only when you ask)
2. Your question (text or voice) — the words you type or speak are sent to our AI provider to understand and answer. Voice audio is transcribed and not stored by us.
3. Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a user ID, and we store your subscription status, usage counts, and preferences (language, personality, etc.) to run your account.
Your screenshot and question are sent to OpenAI’s API to generate the answer. Per OpenAI’s API policy, API data is not used to train their models, and is retained for a limited period (currently up to 30 days) only for abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted.
Account data is stored via Supabase. Your preferences and your linked session token are also stored locally in your browser so the extension can talk to our backend.
You can request access to or deletion of your account data at any time by emailing besitmam9@gmail.com. If you delete your account, your stored data is removed. For EU/UK users, this includes your rights under the GDPR.
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date will change. Significant changes will be announced on devbuddy.shop.
